Local Area Resources
The Shelburne Falls Shambhala Center is located in the beautiful village of Shelburne Falls in Western Massachusetts along the Deerfield River. The Village of Shelburne Falls itself is its own tourist attraction and the hub of about 10 small hilltowns. The area is uniquely populated with small but high quality cultural assets from artisans to theatre groups, poets, musicians, rich local history, and excellent restaurants and local farms. The area is also known for its natural beauty and easy access to many outdoor recreation activities including hiking, biking, whitewater rafting and skiing. The academic 5-College community in the Amherst area and the beautiful rural setting together contribute to a rich cultural diversity that makes this small region so attractive.
