Meditation Mindfulness meditation is the foundation of all that we do at the Shelburne Falls Shambhala Center. Originating from Shakyamuni Buddha, this 2,500 year-old practice of self-discovery is rooted in the simple, but revolutionary premise that every human being has the ability to cultivate the mind's inherent stability, clarity and strength in order to be more awake and compassionate in everyday life.
Sitting Meditation Schedule

The Shelburne Falls Shambhala Center offers a number of public meditation periods for anyone interested in group practice.
The Sunday morning meditation mixes periods of alternating sitting and walking meditation. People may practice for all or part of the morning.
Meditation periods are always free and open to the public.
Wednesdays from 7 to 9 pm
Sundays 10:00am - 12:00 noon
Please note that there will be no Wednesday evening meditation during the month of September as several core practitioners are absent.
We practice the Sadhana of Mahamudra on the evenings of the full moon.
