Retreat Apartment
Plan your Holiday and Winter Retreat Now! The Shelburne Falls Shambhala Center is housed in a small stone building with a garden and patio overlooking the picturesque Hilltown Village of Shelburne Falls along the Deerfield River in Western Massachusetts. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The retreat apartment occupies the second floor of the Center and is a cozy, beautiful, furnished apartment with a large living space/shrineroom, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Bedding, linens, fridge, cookware, and basic shrine paraphernalia are provided as well as access to a laundry machine. The rental fee is $30/day with negotiations for longer term retreats possible. We have had Chakrasamvara, Vajrayogini, Ngondro, sitting/writing and small group retreats. In a large space in the apartment building next door, we can accommodate up to 4 more people for small group retreats. Within a 5-minute walk one finds plenty of services such as a good health food store, drug store, bookstore, as well as coffee shops, restaurants, artisans’ studios and the town’s famous glacial potholes waterfall. We can be reached within 21/2 hours from Boston, 4 hours from NYC, 2 hrs from Albany and 2½ hrs from Karme Choling.
